Best location in Florida of all flannigans is this one. Only criticism I can give is the parking can be challenging however the ambience and food followed by polite professional servers knowledgeable too the lunch special is a hit!! And the burgers in my opinion are the best for the price

One of first places I discovered when I moved to Florida from the Northeast. the Mahi sandwich, the burgers, the salads, the ribs, ALL yummy! My dad in law loved going to Flanigans with his wife, my wife and I for many years. It still is consistent and very good!

Firecracker shrimp, amazing. Tables were nice in the booths. The ribs were pretty dang good for a chain place. This place is underrated by locals. Beats the pants off a Duffys

Didn't eat here, but the drinks were great! The server was on it and never let any drinks at the table get empty. Only negative is parking, it is minimal. There is a parking garage next door, but it is $5.00/hour.

Flanigans is always a good and affordable place to eat. We wanted to go to The Whale's Rib but it was quite busy and a 45 min. wait. Next best thing was Flanigans. Only a 15 minute wait. Hostess was pleasant and sat us within 10 minutes. We got a nice booth and our server Sam was cool. It was Happy Hour so they were offering $5 margaritas! Sam quickly got our drink orders and then our food orders. There were many specials that day which include tilapia and prime rib and ribs. I ordered the prime rib, medium rare, with fries and their cole slaw. My friend ordered the tilapia sandwich with a baked potato. Our food was good. My prime rib was the way I wanted it. Sam checked on us often in a good way. We were seated near the bar, so it got rowdy at times due to the baseball game. Fun place to grab a drink, a bite to eat, and watch a sports game. Topped off with good service., Flanigans is a good place to go!

Ribs ribs and ribs. Even if you aren't a ribs type of person, would highly recommend Flanigans award winning ribs. Tons of meat that just falls off the bone. Can't eat a full rack by yourself? We actually shared the kids size for an appetizer. We had the hamburger which had a nice charred taste to it and the tilapia. Great atmosphere since you have the choice to eat in the bar area with tons of tvs to catch any sports game, the dining room or out on the patio.

Huge plate of nachos, really busy on a Saturday night! Service was nice. Would go again or to their other location. Definitely a community staple!

Beyond great service. Delicious food. The ribs seemed larger than normal. (I have left overs for lunch tomorrow!) the manager was friendly and awesome. The downtown beach atmosphere was nice & the beach view was pleasant. I will drive 30 minutes to come here!

Flanigans is a great and chill atmosphere. This Flanigans is Right by the beach. Their $5.99 lunch specials are amazing! Drink specials are affordable and the Banzai Brownie is one of the best desserts in broward county.

Food is great, but don't take your kids. When we went there we were seated next to the bar. Although it was only 6:00, there were several very drunk and very loud people at the bar. Not that I mind loud in general, but the language and volume was very distracting. The bartender kept serving and the manager was useless in keeping them quiet. People with children complained, but nothing was done. Avoid this place unless you want your children to learn several new words at a bar that is more interested in serving drinks than serving the families on vacation that try to go there. Avoid with children.

We bought two draft beers (Blue Moon and Stella) along with a strawberry daiquiri for $8.50. Overall, awesome drink specials: 1/2 during the day on weekends; 1/2 off on late nights; free food included with pitcher orders on select nights. Look into it for more detail, but I know where I'll be drinking next time I go out. Also, I enjoyed their wings and fries. The Joe's Rib Egg Rolls were delightful as well. Try it with the BBQ sauce that is on the table. I just moved back to South Florida and I'm glad to be able to go back and try everything Flanigan's has to offer. Great atmosphere for friends and family. You can relax on the patio or get your party on at the bar. They also have the ring on the hook game which is good for killing some time.

FRESH FRESH FRESH fish served here. I always ask when they have the mahi as it is the best mahi sandwich around. I always get it fried and it's huge. Have also had shrimp here, wings, burgers - all very good. Even though it's not directly on the beach, I enjoy sitting outside under the tiki hut when it's not too hot outside. Otherwise, I would opt to sit in the bar area which is full of locals and several TV's playing sports. Reasonably priced all the way around and decent drinks.

Flanigans is pretty much the gold standard for dolphin in SoFla. This company runs an extremely tight ship and has a good level of consistency, so rating one location is pretty much like rating them all and this location, while not my favorite is still turning out food as good as the rest of them. I personally enjoy the Mahi here, an usually that's what I order unless I get the lunch special, usually the Blackened Tilapia with a side of Dirty Rice. My complaints are few and they are: 1) if you order food to go, they try to be bastards about it and charge you an extra $2 or $2.50 "to go" charge because usually no one is ordering a drink to go. Total bs and most locations will in fact take it off if you point out that you won't pay it and that if you do you won't come back. They will sucker you on it if you allow them too. 2) The jukebox is another area where customers get suckered into buying credits instead of just paying straight up per song as most songs take 2 credits. I just find that for a company that pulls what they do financially, those are some very greedy ways to trick people out of money. The best deal is the lunch deal. Stay with that and make sure they stamp your lumch club card each time and you're good.

After reading reviews decided to try this place. It was okay. Food order was wrong so most of us were finished eating before my husbands arrived corrected. The manager did speak with us and give 10% off our total bill. That was after making excuses about being swamped and sending a sick cook home. Neither of which I cared about or needed to hear. Food was okay not grand. If you want great food swing next door and check out the Whale's Rib. Much better and impossible to compare.

I wandered into Flanigan's one day, by myself and sat at the bar. I looked through the menus and found some awesome deals that made me come back to try the food and drinks several times. They have a Bacardi and Coke Special for $2.99, which became my go-to cocktail. I love rum and coke, at those prices it's happy hour anytime of the day. On my first visit, I ordered the Smoked Whitefish dip with veggies and chips for $5.99. I just wanted a bite between lunch and dinner, but this was so good I almost ate the whole thing. Seriously good. On my second visit, I brought my guy who ordered the rib dinner to go. It came with a 1/2 rack of ribs, baked potato and salad. The dinner meal was so big. You know food is good, when even the leftovers are so good. I also came back for lunch one day. I had a meat craving, so I ordered the 1/2 BBQ Roasted chicken with rice and black beans. It was only $5.99 with the purchase of a drink. So much food and very good, I was surprised that I almost ate the entire half chicken! Flanigan's is always crowded and it's because they serve really good food at really good prices. Plus the service is very friendly, despite the crowds of hungry people. ;)

This location has to be one of the best I've been to in South Florida. The service is attentive and the food is prepared with care. Although it is a tad small, my friends and I really enjoyed coming here for dinner. Parking is tricky, especially on the weekends. There are a few spots in front otherwise customers will have to park in the metered parking lot across the street.

Great place for ribs! They are simply delicious. The place also has great specials and drink specials all week long. I definitely recommend checking it out. It not a fancy place, but it's comfortable and the food is good.

I was in Deerfield Beach for lunch and wanted something with that 'lived in' tiki bar type of experience. I was also craving a good burger or seafood. I wanted to go to the Whale's Rib but there was a really long wait, so I decided to do Flanigans instead. I know this is a chain restaurant in South Florida ... but on the inside it looked like a lived-in sports bar ... the type you went to after your little league games for burgers and fries. The prices here are pretty low on food, which for downtown Deerfield Beach is not always the case. The drinks were insanely low priced for happy hour. Happy hour is 50% off ... and they run an all day special for $3 Captain Morgan drinks. To my surprise, the $3 Captain drinks were $1.50 during happy hour!!! Where could you ever get a rum and Coke for $1.50 this day and age? The place was crowded, so I sat outside at a high top and watched the people walk by as I ate. My waitor was really good and friendly. I got the burger, which the menu describes as 'famous' (of course) and made with char grilled half pound (I think they mentioned it was a post-cooking weight half pound!) of hamburger. When the burger came, it was cooked perfectly to medium rare. PERFECT! The taste of the burger was great! Like it had come off a back yard BBQ grill! The bun was fresh as were the lettuce and pickle. I had to ask for mayo and mustard ... but it was seriously one of the top 10 burgers I have eaten. (and only $7 with fries!) If the rest of the menu is anything like the burger, this is one of the best values in Deerfield Beach and it has that old school 1980s beach shack type of vibe that I love when I am in places like Deerfield Beach. Easy walk from the beach. When I am craving more upscale, Oceans 321 is my go-to so I can eat right on the water. But for a no frills good deal lunch ... Flanigan's is my new spot!

This place will serve strong drinks and lots of fried fish. Being from the Pacific Northwest, it's odd to see EVERYTHING fried. It ruins the point of having the fish. But I digress... Overall, the waitress was great, the drinks were decent, the prices were not outlandish, we got to watch the game, and the food was pretty tasty. There was a bouncer at the bar, so that tells me something about the place at other times. Honestly, this place is pretty good, but not someplace I'd go to all the time if I lived near it. Try the clams (not fried). They're really good.

After an awesome day-drive along the beach, the hubs and I worked up an appetite. Since we were already in the area and always love Flanigan's that's where we stopped for dinner. Despite the crowds outside we were handed a paper number and told it'd be 35 minutes; not bad. We waited just that and we're seated at a high top table outside. We knew what we wanted to eat so when the server took our drink order we put in for our food. I ordered a half rack of baby back ribs and a baked potato and my husband had a full rack with a loaded baked potato. We didn't have to wait long before our dinner arrived. The ribs here never disappoint! I commented on the yumminess of the sauce as I devoured almost the entire rack. The sauce is the perfect combination of sweet and savory. The baked potato filled me up so we intended to take our combined left overs home, but unfortunately yours truly left them on the table; whoops! I hope someone else enjoyed them because they were finger lickin good! Flanigan's is our spot when we're craving a reasonably priced rack of ribs.

Parking can be an issue if u come on the weekends, otherwise, it's just as good as the other flanigans.

This is a divey little Irish pub with decent food. They have happy hour, reverse happy hour (after 9 pm) and specials every weekday! They also have free wifi! I went here a few days before st Patricks day and it was packed. We had to wait 40 minutes for a table but had a few drinks at the bar and it went by quickly. The food was excellent and fatty but I did order the Texas burger and I feel like it will give me a Texas waistline! The only downside was out server, Angelica, was not as attentive as she could have been. I realize that they were busy but as we sat down she didn't even ask if anyone needed a refill and seemed annoyed at our request for more napkins. She just needed some pep in her step I believe. I will go again, I had a good time overall.

Delicious and cheap drinks! $2.75 for margaritas, piña coladas and daiquiris. Huge portions of fish. Get the garlic rolls, you won't regret it!

As a Florida native I have been coming here for many many years. This place never disappoints and they usually have the same fair and never really change up the menu. The rules are always amazing and the prime rib is to die for, I'm totally serious I have been too high and steak houses all across the country and their prime rib is on par with the best of them. also during the week on different days they have pictures specials with wings and things like that if you're going to a casual dinner with friends. staff was always friendly at this location.

I'm lucky enough to spend a lot of time in south Florida during the winter, and Flanigans is often our first stop when we get in. We go for a pitcher of Yuengling, the tumbleweed onions, and Joe's Rib Rolls. We've had other food there, and it's almost always yummy, but the two appetizers are our go-to dishes. I also really like the staff. I think I've ever had one server who wasn't very friendly and just the right amount of attentive, and I've never seen him there since, so maybe he was just filling in for someone. I honestly think the staff at this location are friendlier than in either Boca Raton or at the Lighthouse Point locations. Plus, the environment here is very "where everybody knows your name", which isn't (IMO) the case in the other two locations.

  • Marc F.

I had the half rack of ribs with shrimp. The fried shrimp was better than the ribs. The ribs were good. They did fall off the bone. But were dry. The smoked fish spread was acceptable but could have used more seasoning.the wait staff, Casandra, was personable and knowledgeable.

flanigan's was a great place to go, the food was great, the service was even better (Kelly) the bartender made our experience worth while. I had a great special martini on the board called the carrara martini with a rimmed glass, it was oh sooo delishous! we will be back for sure!

It is one of the local Deerfield Beach eateries where you can get a reasonable drink or a "cold one" when you are at the Deerfield Beach Pier. It has outside seating and parking can be a hassle due to its location on the corner of NE 2nd Street and NE 21st Ave (S Ocean Blvd - A1A). Like all "Flanigan's Seafood Bar & Grill" locations, it has the same menu and is walking distance (directly across) to the beach. Nothing special but convenience. Cheers!

I don't typically write bad reviews but this place was a big disappointment especially since I got so many great referrals to go here. The bartender that waited in me was really dry and not friendly. Every time I asked a questions her answers seemed really condescending. Then I got the special and it was so bland. I didn't even eat it after the first few bites. Needless to say I left hungry and disappointed.

I had my first meal at Flanigan's a little over 2 years ago and I've been coming back at least 3 times a month ever since. The BBQ ribs are my favorite and I normally get the half rack special with 6 chicken wings and a loaded baked potato on the side (because I'm watching my figure obviously). On Mondays they have Mexican Monday so with a pitcher of lemonade or beer, most likely beer, you get a foot and a half tall tower of loaded nachos which will definitely spoil your main meal but are completely worth it. The fish sandwiches are equally amazing and the Texas burger is fuego with bacon, tumbleweed onions and crumbled bleu cheese. I think they even have great salads but who really goes out to eat to order a salad? They also have a great 50% off happy hour from 4-7pm and then 9-close Monday through Friday so I normally go to watch the Heat games and my whiskey gingers are almost always pretty strong which is exactly how I prefer them. The staff are always nice even if they are a little slow and the atmosphere is super laid-back which is what I prefer when going out to eat. VIVA LA FLANIGANS!

Deerfield beach is mine and my husband's favorite beach. My husband has been surfing deerfield for many, many years. He has eaten at all the restaurants on deerfield beach. We both love flanigans. Sometimes well take a drive down to deerfield beach and then well stop for a bite to eat at flanigans. We always sit outside to enjoy the view. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. We usually just order burgers and fries and those are always super delicious. Flanigans is just a cool non pretentious place to hang back and chill. If you want a no fuss night out come to flanigans and enjoy good food and good people.

  • Rachel C.

As usual, Flanigans doesn't disappoint. Our food is consistently good, as ordered and served within a timely manner. This location is in a bustling area with inadequate parking specific to the restaurant. Don't waste your time trying to find parking in front or at one of the nearby meters; break down and pay the $5 or $10 for the lot next door. You'll save yourself a ton of aggravation. In all my years I have never been for lunch. They have some nice lunch specials. Our server, Natalie was very nice and accommodating.

This is obviously a no fuss place for locals, but it really isn't very good. That being said, the service was just great, and everyone was incredibly friendly. Unfortunately I actually care about the food. I feel bad about giving this friendly joint 2 stars, but I must be honest.

Prices are low for the area. Service was great! Thanks Billie Joe!! Drinks are cheap and good. Started with firecracker shrimp .. Fabulous!!!! Tilapia (fried) was good but nothing to write home about. The Caribbean burger was good but could use more bbq sauce. Highly recommended!

This is the best Flannigab's in Florida - ask for Kelly! Burgers, wings, salad, whatever, it is great place for locals and tourists alike - truly a Deerfield Beach institution (unlike many other Flannigan's). Beer and drink specials almost any time of the day - except prime time of course.

ON vacation with the family wanted to eat at a restaurant just around the corner but the wait time was to long. So the 6 of us decided to try Flanigans and boy we were not disappointed. The price was right and the food, service were top notch. We each ordered something different. The only thing we were not crazy about were the wings. The burgers, fish sandwich and other items we got were awesome. The best part was the drinks as well. So enjoy!

  • Charmie P.

Portions are big, the food is ok, most of it is very greasy. The restaurant itself is too dark, I know they are a chain and that's their look and feel, however this location is right across from the beach, they could use some renovating, and opening up to let light in the restaurant. They do have outdoor seating, but they could definitely step it up and give it better ambiance. The wings and ribs are tasty.

This place was great. My husband had Cesar salad, New York steak with baked potato, I had dinner mixed salad, rib eye steak and vegetables. The entire meal was great. Steaks were done perfectly. The offered some great desserts but nothing sugar free. Restaurants should start thinking about the diabetics in the world!

Ate at Flanigan's over Thanksgiving weekend because we were staying at a hotel nearby. I've had their ribs before but for some reason these ribs were a bit dry. I do like that they don't drwown their ribs in sauce...it was just enought BBQ sauce. My mom had the mahi sandwich which was decent but nothing extraordinary.

If I lived in the area - I would definately hang at the Flanigans Bar - what a friendly establishment!. During our trip to Florida we went to Flanigans several times. Food was always good. They have a good menu (wish there were more fish dishes.....) servides was always good with a smile. Good Food, Good Times, great memories!

Great happy hour specials..depending on day buy a pitcher and get wings or nachos or whatever the special is..mahi mahi sandwich was good..burgers are qualit, better than charm city, the texas burger and flanigan burger are simple and delicious..wings are good but pretty greasy...old inside though could def use renovation..tvs are old ive seen newer ones in a different flanigans..service is good..curly fries are avg..bonzai brownie is a must, its my favorite dessert, a good size brownie covered with ice cream, whip cream, crushed oreos, chocolate sauce, and kit kats, cant go wrong there. nachos are huge but inconsistent on how much ingredients they have

Beyond great service. Delicious food. The ribs seemed larger than normal. (I have left overs for lunch tomorrow!) the manager was friendly and awesome. The downtown beach atmosphere was nice & the beach view was pleasant. I will drive 30 minutes to come here!

Cheers!

First, love the location, food (typical Flanigan fare) & service. BUT if you park in their lot, you'll wait to leave. We were blocked for 15 minutes. Although staff was apologetic, there system is obviously flawed. I am a local who enjoys the beach establishments, but the parking situation is ridiculous. Until they get it right, I will enjoy their neighbors food who have the parking down.

Eating at Flanigans in person is fun, the wait staff is really friendly. Although I do agree with a reviewer below that given Flanigans is right near the beach it would be nice to open up the place and let some light in. That said NEVER order takeout from this place. We recently got some takeout for a small party - the nachos were terrible, it was just lots of stale tortilla chips with a dollop of guacamole and some flavorless pico de gallo. They forgot the sour cream. They also forgot the blue cheese for the wings despite being asked twice. I contacted Flanigans simply because it was quite a letdown to the in-person dining we often do there and was told that the nachos don't deliver well and that they should in fact be off the menu for delivery. No apology for the lack of wing's blue cheese (which really wasn't the end of the world anyway). It irked me that there really wasn't any responsibility for Flanigans happily taking our money but not delivering what was promised. No compensation, no offer of hey, come have a drink on us - sorry your meal was crap. It's not my style to rag a place but this was just so uncool - they know their product sucks for delivery yet keep it on the menu and take your hard earned money for it. Take out buyers - beware.

My wife, son and I had a great dinner here on a Saturday night. We got there at about 645 and only have to wait about 10 minutes for a table. She had the baby back ribs entree and I had the prime rib dinner. We also shared a large (not really that large) caesar salad. everything tasted really good. My prime rib was cooked medium rare, like I asked and was pretty tender. The baked potato that came with it came with all the toppings and tasted great. My wife's ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and were really flavorful. My wife doesn't normally like caesar salad, but loved the salad so much she ate more than me. Our son, a sometimes finicky three year-old, really enjoyed the super-buttered rolls and pieces of my prime rib. Prices weren't Cheap, but nor were they Expensive. Things were pretty fairly priced. The service was nice and fairly attentive. The manager stopped by twice to check on us and the food. Providing a plastic cup for our son was also a nice plus. Incidentally, for kids, they give a little pack with crayons and fake tattoos. We really appreciate places that do little things like that for kids. My only dislikes were the dark atmosphere and the slightly greasy feel to the table and booth. And parking can be difficult. Bottom Line: Great American food at a reasonable price and right by the beach ( no real view to speak of though).

I was recently visiting family in South Florida, and we all went here one night for dinner. Overall, it was a very good experience. We planned to sit outside, but upon arriving realized that our party was too large for any of the outdoor tables so we found a cozy spot inside. Three of the five of us ordered chicken wings, which were universally enjoyed. My grandfather got a half rack of the "famous" ribs, which he had no trouble finishing. I got the blackened tilapia sandwich which was fresh tasting and flavorful. I also liked the rice that came with it. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. We'd check it out again.

It's a dingy place in much need of a update, but the ribs and burgers are good and the beer cold. Service is excellent. Only problem I have is with their wings, which are undercooked (fleshy). They don't seem to know what "crispy" wings are. Try Bru's room up the street for wings.

You can't beat this place as it is right across the street from the beach. The prices are unbeatable and the food is outstanding. It's bar food, but let me tell you, it's GREAT. The wings and the ribs are excellent. You have to try the pork rolls....It's unbelievable. Thank god I don't live in FL and I just go down there twice a year because I would be going to this place 3 times a week for either drinks, just to lay back or for dinner. It seems like every time I go here they have drink specials no matter when you go. I can drink like crazy all night and eat good food for less then $30 dollar's. The staff and the bartenders are very friendly. The only thing that is negative is that the parking sucks.

So enjoy!

    (2)

It's a dingy place in much need of a update, but the ribs and burgers are good and the beer cold. Service is excellent. Only problem I have is with their wings, which are undercooked (fleshy). They don't seem to know what "crispy" wings are. Try Bru's room up the street for wings.

We absolutely love this place. We've eaten here 5 or 6 times so far on our vacation and everything has been great. Stand out items r dolphin fingers, ribs and dulce de leche cheesecake. Great staff. Fun atmosphere. Reasonable prices.
